Apple Pay

I think Apple Pay will be the next big thing, but I don't think it will work out well since the Apple Watch didn't. I also inserted the short video about Apple Pay above in case you would like more information about it.

Text Effects

I created this image using GIMP. I chose the word Summer and the splash text because it makes me think about going to the lake and beach. I also added the YouTube video tutorial that I used.

Font Image Generator

I made these two images using this website: http://www.dingbatty.com/ I think it is a pretty cool website to use. I made the first image that says Don't Be Normal because everyone is crazy and not normal. I chose this font because it seemed to fit for what I was trying to say. I also made this picture of my name. I chose those colors because they are my two favorite colors. It also took me a while to find the font, but when I did I liked it!

CCS Changes & Additions Survey

My CAI class made a survey for our classmates to answer about changes and additions at Crossroads next year. In this blog post I will be discussing the questions I asked and responses I received back. We had to make up 10 questions, and the first question I asked was: What electives should we add? The choices were cooking, drama, photography, and CPR training. The cooking class won with a total of 37.5% and that was also my favorite. The second question I asked was: Where should we go on a field trip next year? The choices were Discovery Cove, Disney World, Kings Dominion, and Busch Gardens. Personally I wanted to go to Discovery Cove to swim with dolphins, but Disney World and Busch Gardens had a tie. They were both 37.5%. The third question I asked my classmates was: Should we have a middle and high school hallway? Of course 81.3% of people said yes. Only 18.8% said no. The fourth question I asked was: What restaurant would you like to have food from on Fridays for lunch? The four places I gave to chose were Zaxby's, Taco Bell, McDonald's, and Bojangle's. The winner for these choices was Zaxby's. That is the choice that I also wanted to win. The next question I asked was what sport should we add to CCS? The four sports were football, lacrosse, wrestling, and tennis. Eleven people chose football and that is what I also hope we add. The sixth question I asked was: Should we be able to use our phones during school? Of course, everyone said yes! Another question I asked was what should our dress code be? Everyone except one person said casual and the person that did not agree said it should be what we wear now. The next question I asked was should we go on more field trips throughout the year, and everyone said yes! The next to last question I asked was Should we be allowed to eat in the courtyard? Everyone said yes, but personally I do not like eating outside because of bugs. The last question I asked was: Should we be allowed to pick our classes? Everyone also said yes to this question.

Inserting A Video

I chose this video because a Lamborghini is my dream car.

Pink Golden Doodle!

This is a picture of a golden doodle. I changed his original fur color on GIMP to pink. I chose this picture because I think golden doodles are extremely cute. The golden doodle was also supposed to be purple, but it turned out pink. This meme can be used anytime.

Panoramio

When I get married I would like to go to Tahiti. I want to go because it is warm there and it is beautiful. It stays warm there and they have the cute, small bungalows in the water!

10 Things You Didn't Know About College Grading

In this blog I am going to be telling three differences between the way my high school teachers grade my work and what I read about how college professors grade assignments. The first difference I noticed is that usually in large college classes the professor giving the lecture doesn't grade the papers. It is usually a low-paid grad students doing the grading. In high school classes some students grade everyday assignments, but usually the teachers grade tests and quizzes, unless they have a student aid. The second difference is extra credit is usually not offered in college classes. Some teachers in high school are willing to give the class extra credit if we make a bad grade on a test. The last difference is effort is not really taken into account in college classes. You are usually graded on what you produce not how hard you worked to make it. The difference in high school is your teachers want you to put in effort and not make it look like it was made the night before.

From reading this blog about what is different about grading in college than high school makes me a bit nervous. I currently think I may do worse in college because that blog makes is seem impossible to get good grades. I am going to try to get good grades in college though no matter how hard I have to work. Some people say college is fun, but this blog doesn't make it sound fun. I'm not sure what I will have to change now to do better in college because high school seems nothing like college.
